We start our walk in the valley near San Mateo, where most of the island's wine grapes are produced.
We leave the valley floor and enter the forest. Enjoying the scented and shady pines, we pass olive, fig and carob trees, and look for rosemary, thyme and lavender along the way.
We end up on a promontory where the Moors lived many centuries ago. During the Catalan invasion in 1235, the Moors who did not want to convert to Catholicism escaped across the island, found this beautiful place to live and built an entire village of 1000 people. They survived thanks to the land and the springs they dug into the valley floor.
On this walk we will also see the 'great wall of Ibiza', which stretches along the cape. Originally 5 m high with watchtowers, some vestiges of which still remain. From this viewpoint, 300 m above sea level, we can enjoy breathtaking views over the sea - you can see mainland Spain on a sunny day!
Tip: Nothing better at the end of the walk than a visit to the local bodega for tapas and wine tasting.
A private tour for up to 6 people. For each extra person, a supplement of 15 € will be added.
